This is getting boring. I am tired of feeling old. I looked in the mirror this morning and I don’t think I look old. I think I am paying too much attention to what other people think of people my age. No I am not going to tell you my age. I am turning over a new leaf. I am going to be as young as I think I should be. How about you? Would you like to feel young again? Would you like to look young again?

With many people it’s a matter of attitude. If you feel you are old, you will probably look old and act old. Stop acting like an old person and start feeling young again. You can do it. When was the last time you took some time off to take care of yourself? Do you have a plan as to how to look and feel younger? Without a plan this is never going to work.

I think the first thing to do is to start to relax. Try and let go of the stress that is occupying a good part of your life. Stress is not your friend. Your best friend is yourself. You do want to help your best friend take care of himself or herself, don’t you?

Try and think about all the wonderful talents and skills that you have accumulated over the years. Think about all the things you have done right. Think about all the constructive things you can still do. That should make you feel younger. There are probably a lot of people half your age that can’t do what your experience has taught you how to do.

If you want to feel and look younger, you have to start to act younger. You have to allow yourself the luxury of doing things on impulse. You have to allow yourself to enjoy life. You have to stop worrying about everything that could go wrong. It is time to start thinking and acting positively.

I think what we all need is a fifty year plan for the future. If you start thinking in terms of the next fifty years, how old you are now begins to become irrelevant. Let’s start planning for the future. Let’s have hope. The best is yet to come if you feel and look young enough to enjoy it.

They are beginning to view themselves as part of the New Middle Aged Group – people in their fifties and sixties plus who look, feel, and act like they are in their thirties or forties.

To accomplish the transition from retired to re-inspired, people need to find something constructive to do. Many discover that working from home provides the answer to what they are looking for. Others prefer volunteering their time to some form of community service.

Working at home in their own business or service enterprise allows people to pursue hobbies, philanthropic interests, and hidden talents that they didn’t know they had, or didn’t have time to pursue.

Working at home allows people to set their own schedules, develop their own concepts, services, and products, and most importantly to market them through the Internet.

Don’t worry if your skill levels on the Internet are limited, there are many programs out there, many of them free, that will help you get set up in your own on line business or providing a community service.

At the same time it pays to be cautious. There are a lot of scams on the Internet with people waiting to take advantage of you, and take your money. Be wary of offers that say things like Absolutely Free or Make $10,000 a week. These programs rarely if ever work except for their owners. Be sure and Google any opportunity you are looking at to see if it has any negative comments. Use the good instincts that got you to this stage in your life to begin with. Check it out.

The most important thing to do is to find something you like to do and then do it. What are you waiting for? A new and brighter future is waiting for you to do something constructive. This is your opportunity to work from home and start to look, act, and feel younger. If you have the proper attitude, the best is yet to come. You can do it.

While it’s inevitable that we all get older, but awful lot of us refuse to accept that without a fight. The battle to remain young, at least looking young and feeling young, is a mighty battle. In fact it has created a multi-billion dollar industry. It used to be just the baby boomers who were focused on staying young, and while they still are, the ensuing generations are starting to feel the effects of father Time now as well. And believe me, they are squaring off just as steadfastly as their predecessors did (and are).

While there is a never ending supply of products, techniques, systems, books and everything else imaginable gear towards helping people stay young, there really isn’t any need to fall for any of those things. Here are a few basic points you should know it will help you in your successful efforts against relentless time.

Eat well – the emphasis here needs to be on “well”. Of course we all need to eat but the problem is that most people simply stuff their face with whatever is put in front of them. Today’s fast food, processed foods, snack foods, sodas and the like will do you no favors whatsoever when trying to look and feel young. If you are looking for something more magical or mystical and that’s, I’m sorry. But the truth is you need to eat good, clean healthy food for your body to be a good, clean healthy body that continues to feel young and perform well for you.

Do something – and watching TV does not count. “Do something” means do something physically active. Preferably something that you have fun and enjoy doing. You want to stay young? Well, remember when you are a kid and you would go outside and play, laugh and have a good time? Think of “do something” in that respect. Get outside and go for a walk or ride a bike. Plan a trip somewhere that you’ve never been and explore it on foot when you get there. Try a new activity; yoga, water aerobics, dance lessons… it doesn’t matter as long as it’s something you have fun doing. Just get out there and move.

Have fun – this ties in to number two above… have FUN! Again, remember the childhood example of running around laughing and doing things with a smile on your face and in your heart. Finding these kinds of activities will go a long ways to helping your longevity. However, if you have “fun” by drinking in excess until your staggering around slurring your words… that simply does not count. Alcohol in moderation can be a very healthy thing and actually can help with longevity, but remember, the key component there is moderation. In excess, you are doing nothing but accelerating the aging process which is the exact opposite of what we’re trying to do here. If you want to stay young, treat your body right. It will return the favor.
Enjoy life. Eat well, rest, and have fun. Don’t take things too seriously, especially things that are out of your control. Excessive stress is the fast lane on the freeway to getting old in a hurry. Do yourself and everyone around you a favor and avoid that at all costs.
